This mid-Ohio SBDC is proud to be hosted by Ashland University in Ashland, Ohio. This means that SBDC clients benefit with free additional resources and guidance to help their business grow. With AU’s partnership, clients gain access to a wide variety of research tools through their SBDC consultant. Clients also gain valuable insight from skilled and experienced professors that can assist in consultations.
Every fall semester the SBDC teams up with an entrepreneurial class at Ashland University. This class is comprised of primarily senior-level AU students that are divided into teams to help provide assistance to SBDC clients. A previous project resulted in resources for the clients such as websites, marketing materials, marketing ideas/tactics, online marketing assistance, social media assistance, organizational management tactics, and general business planning for the SBDC client.
The students gain valuable real-world experience to apply their academic knowledge to, and the clients resoundingly appreciate the innovative ideas and valuable insight from the student teams.
